Both psilocybin mushrooms and LSD are considered classic hallucinogens, working in similar ways on the synaptic level. However, people who have experience microdosing with both report that experiential differences between microdosing psilocybin mushrooms and microdosing LSD. After microdosing psilocybin, people tend to report increased levels of creativity, connection with themselves and people around them, greater connection with nature, better verbal communication, and ease of expressing ideas. Comparatively, after microdosing LSD, people generally report increased flow states as well as focus, and motivation for the task at hand. It is almost like they are “fired up” and ready to achieve any goal or the task they set their minds to, without getting distracted easily. Whilst microdosing LSD, people generally didn’t get bored, and they didn’t feel like multitasking, instead they rode the flow state, focusing on a single task. All these reported differences, however, are very individualized experiences, and the best way to find out what works for you is to experiment with both. Soon enough you’ll find your jam.
